Richard Marquez
Biography:
Richard Marquez began his Sheet Metal career in 1988 as a Truck driver for Orange County Contractor Pacific Southwest. In 1991 he was accepted to the Orange County/Long Beach apprenticeship program and upon graduation he received the apprenticeship award for perfect attendance.
In 1995 Business Manager Brad Plueger appointed Richard first local Union 102 Organizer under the Youth to Youth program.
Upon graduating from the apprenticeship program Richard worked with the tools of the trade in the capacity of Journeyman and Foreman. In 1998 he was appointed full time Organizer for local 102, in 2001 became Business Representative for Riverside County, and with the merger of local union 102 and local union 108 Richard was appointed Business Representative for the newly formed Local Union 105.
Richard has served on the following committees during his tenure with the Union:

- Chairman, Labor/Management Cooperation Trust
- Riverside/San Bernardino Counties Building Trades Council Delegate
- Riverside/San Bernardino Counties Central Labor Council Delegate
- Los Angeles/Orange Counties Building Trades Council Delegate
- 401(a) Plan Trustee
- Retirees’ Supplemental Health Plan Trustee
- Local Union Compliance Officer
- Youth to Youth C.O.M.E.T. Instructor
